What's new in Print Conductor 12
More reliable printing for complex PDF, HTML, and XPS files
Print Conductor 12 introduces an additional processing engine for PDF, HTML, and XPS files — AsposePDF. It helps improve rendering and printing accuracy when working with complex or non-standard documents and can resolve issues such as incorrect character rendering, missing fonts or graphics, and incomplete output. So if some files are not rendered or printed correctly, you can activate it on the Print Engine tab.
Enhanced control over complex print workflows
The new version expands your control over batch printing with new Pre-print operations and workflow settings. Apply Grayscale mode, insert blank pages or pages from another file, manage cover pages more flexibly, adjust page order in Multiple pages per sheet mode, and fine-tune duplex behavior for more predictable output.
Convenient configuration and deployment for IT teams
Print Conductor 12 adds new options for silent installation via command line and lets you apply previously saved settings during deployment. It also improves support for previously saved printer profiles and Excel-based file lists, making it easier to standardize printing workflows across users, devices, and workstations.
New local-only processing option for enhanced security
For organizations with stricter data protection requirements, Print Conductor 12 includes a new Process files locally only option. This mode allows you to fully restrict external processing of files and keep document handling within the local environment when required by internal policies or compliance rules. To enable strictly local processing, activate it at Settings → Advanced → Application → Privacy & Security.
Broader file support and improvements for already supported file formats
The new release adds support for new formats:
- Apple Pages Document (.PAGES)
- DjVu Document Format (.DJVU, .DJV)
- Open Fixed-layout Document Format (.OFD)
Besides, some formats can now be processed via internal engine only, with no additional software required:
- Computer Graphics Metafile Format (.CGM)
- CorelDRAW Drawing Format (.CDR)

Additional print engine

Layout and pagination
- Ability to define paper source for placeholders (Paper source for placeholders) – useful if you're using the Attachments of unknown types action or Print placeholder instead of attachment by file mask option
- Multiple pages per sheet mode: Ability to choose page printing order by specifying Page order: Horizontal, Vertical, Horizontal (Reversed), Vertical (Reversed)
- Ability to insert cover pages between bookmark-based PDF sections
- Ability to print a cover between specified print jobs number if Max copies per print job is set
- Ability to start each new document on front side of paper when using Single Print Job mode plus Duplex mode (Print document on front side of paper in duplex mode)
- Ability to adjust page alignment for selected pages
Watermarks & macros
- Ability to enable/disable configured watermarks via checkboxes in the Watermarks list
- Setting watermarks is now available for selected files only, via individual Item settings
- New macro for Single Print Job mode: Last loaded file-list filename
Importing files from Excel
- You can now set the "As in printer" option for each individual item in your imported Excel list. Learn more about importing lists from Excel
- You can now apply a previously saved printer profile to specific items by specifying the file path (e.g., C:\Printer profiles\LaserJet_1.pcprn-profile) in the #prn_profile column
